Well, it’s been ‘a long time comin’ but Meg Rilley released her second single on her current EP project ‘BURN’ on April 24th. Her first single ‘The Bottle or the Boy’ had already racked up over 10,000 streams when ‘Long Time Comin’ hit the airwaves!
The brain-child of as Meg says ‘Listening to too much Patsy Cline’, Long Time is a bluesy number with hot vocals and guitar licks. Meg wrote this number on her own, having come up with the chord progression while practicing at home, she packed up her guitar and wrote the lyrics while driving to a writer’s round in Nashville. “I played the song at that round, so it was rough, but I loved it then and think its only gotten better!”.
The song was launched, in this social distancing time, via a combination of facebook live stream and was highlighted on Nashville’s RADIO SOBRO’s new music Friday (NUMU). It has already been picked up by a Spotify sponsored playlist ‘Nu-Blue’!
Meg will be releasing one more single for this project next month, so stay tuned and be sure stream “Long Time Comin” on Spotify, Apple Music, Itunes, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer or your chosen streaming app. You won’t be disappointed!
